This year’s annual report marks a significant milestone for SeedChange.
Founded 80 years ago as the Unitarian Service Committee of Canada (USC Canada), SeedChange has evolved over decades in response to changing global contexts and community-led priorities. Today, we work alongside farmers, seed keepers, and grassroots organizations to advance agroecology, strengthen local food systems, and support farmer-led solutions rooted in equity and resilience.
This special anniversary edition reflects on our shared journey, highlights the impact of our partnerships, and looks ahead to the future we are cultivating together.

Strengthening Seed Systems in Canada
Through farmer-led research and participatory breeding, SeedChange supported approximately 200 farmers in on-farm research and reached over 2,000 people through training and knowledge-sharing, helping build climate-resilient, locally adapted seed systems across Canada.
