A long track record of careful stewardship

SeedChange, formerly USC Canada, is one of Canada’s oldest international charities. We have been helping donors and funders seed real change on the ground since 1945.

Our longstanding partnership with Global Affairs Canada (GAC) makes Seeds of Survival programs possible in Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Mali, Burkina Faso and Ethiopia.

In Canada, The W. Garfield Weston Foundation has been instrumental in funding The Bauta Family Initiative on Canadian Seed Security, undertaken with partners across the country.

Grants from other family foundations and charitable contributions from donors make the rest of our work possible.

How we fund our work

Delivering thoughtful projects that create real impact requires long-term investments from everyone involved, from donors to farmers. We strive to diversify our funding sources to provide our partners the stability they need to do good work.

Our commitment to donors

We are passionate about making sure your generosity translates into real, positive, long-term impact.

We are committed to managing our funds with transparency and accountability. We follow the ethical standards of the Canadian Council for International Cooperation and Imagine Canada, and are members of both organizations. We also meet all of the requirements and expectations for charities laid out by the Canada Revenue Agency.
